Happy Merdeka Day!

It has been more than half a month that my lappie fell sick. It's recovering well. Still, it's in the hospital.

57 years ago, we gained Independence from the British and we have come a long way. Happy Independence Day!

Though our country has been lacking in many areas, this is our home. This is where we belong and we will continue growing. Today is the day we put aside all our differences, regardless of age, gender, race, religion, belief, to observe this day together, as Malaysians.

Happy Merdeka Day to all Malaysians, both home and abroad. It has been a difficult year but things will get better.

RIP Robin Williams 1951-2014

It was such a sad day waking up from this news, that the comedian Robin Williams had passed away. It wasn't due to old age, instead, he committed suicide. He's not even old, just 63.

He brought laughter and joy to billions around the world and yet deep down, he could not make one person happy, himself, for, he was suffering from depression. Why is it always like that? The evil ones live happily til the end, and the kind hearted ones had to suffer from all these pain.

The mental health of someone is way much more major than physical health, and this is an issue that had always been ignored and it's really very scary. If it's not being addressed, it ends up fatal.

Rest In Peace, be at a better place, free from all this suffering you have to endure here.

Lewes Part 1

Our base was in Lewes for that few days. Ahh~ It started off there, followed by many others.

It was A380 plane that flew from KLIA to Heathrow Airport. That was my first time flying far distance since 2007 and even more so, this was the first ever since the MH370 tragedy. The plane was really huge :O Thank God, everything went well

This is Lewes Castle previously known as Bray Castle. This castle stands at its highest point of Lewes. Plays, weddings, parties are held here and tickets can be purchased for visiting.

This was in town, the Lewes town and it's a stream here. There's nothing much to see here. Ah Lewes is located 1.5 hours drive away from London. Having said so, the houses are not cheap either. It's around 300 over pounds for a small sized house. Stress of life~!

It was lunch time and that's my first taste of beer in the UK soil. Yums!

It's burger time~~ nom nom.

The Marriage Vow is no longer valid

It's tragical. People are getting divorce so easily these days.

I am not talking about a different generation. It's among my circle, or linked somehow.

In this Gen Y era, alone, and I do not have a million friends. Instead, I know only a handful. Even that, I have more than 7 people walked through that path. Like, why?

Many got married early, and after 2 years, they divorce. Marriage vows are no longer valid til the end of time. "I xxx take you xxx to be my lawfully wedded h/w, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part."

It's now until money do us part, or a third person do us part. You get some that move on very easily. You get some that get stuck in that scar for a long long time. They can't walk away from the scar that was left behind.

Sad but true. This is how Gen Y works. You go to any weddings these days, you wouldn't know if that's the one and only weddings of that person you are attending. Who knows.

I learned. Never ever trust anyone who appears to be all lovey-dovey with their SOs. Do not. I have seen a few and all ended up in catastrophe.

Eat, Pray, Love

I have just finished 2 book. Here is the book I have been waiting for to read. Eat, Pray, Love after I've heard all only good reviews. Of course, I really wanted to read it. When I saw that in Big Bad Wolf, grabbbbb it!

It's eat, pray, love where it became a hit in the cinemas. It's where she searched for everything. There's a lot about her connection with God, and how she finally found her inner self. I am not a person as such, but it's very interesting. Then, she fell in love. haha. Oh, I love how the writer put the whole story together and how she narrated it. It was very exciting.

This was about a girl who fell into depression and how her psychiatrist helped her rise up again throughout the years, and one day, he just passed away for some illness which he had lost the battle. It isn't your typical book, in fact, it was boring. If you are someone like that, maybe it's good to pick a book like that if you do not wanna go for the self-help book.

Brighton Part 2

There's nothing much about Brighton except for the Pavillion and Brighton Pier. People go there mainly for the pier. It's a very small town. Of course, for the fact that it's a town of PLUs. It's so rare to see places like that, with an open concept. :D

So gloomy, so cold, so wet, and the mood is so not right. Welcome to UK -.-

If it isn't for the weather, you will see the entire beach crowded with people

Then, it's time for some fish and chips. This is the place we should eat this really. My gawd, I am hungry now! English food it is.

Brighton Part 1

It wasn't a day with beautiful weather to visit Brighton, located at Sussex. It's not long of a drive away from Lewes. But, the fact that it was raining, oh my god. The wind was strong, it was raining, so it makes it go down your spine. We walked a lil and took a bus, so imagine the obstacles we had to go through.

This is the Royal Pavillion. It's a former royal residence. It played host to one of the very first few legal same sex marriage here!

That's just a park

I'm sure even in pictures, one can tell how bad the weather was that day. Umbrellas don't help on days like this.

Finally, we have arrived at Brighton Pier. It was so gloomy and wet. Not your ideal weather to be out from a building.

I have just showered. Thank you to the rain.
