Turkey Trip Day 5 Part 2

Day 5 .. omg, this is like not gonna end. This is still at Cappadocia. We headed to Goreme, a town in Cappadocia. A visit to those fairy chimney rock formations has a rich history.

There are many stairs to climb in this place. We can see how yesterday's people live and pass their days. "Volcanic eruptions created this surreal moonscape: the lava flows formed tuff rock, which wind and rain sculpted into sinuous valleys with curvy cliff faces and pointy fairy chimneys. This place has the best collection of chapels and living quarters, most dating to around the 11th century."

This city is famous for their carpet production. The government had subsidized to encourage locals exporting carpets. Thus, they have like one of the best quality carpet production in the world. Whenever you purchase a carpet, and you don't feel like you wanna bring it back by hand to the airport, they can arrange to courier the carpet back to your home country without any extra charge on top of the carpet price.

A visit to the cave, it's so damn cool I love it, except that in pictures you can't really see what's there as they only have very limited lighting inside. It's all in darkness but it's cool and awesome

It was Chinese New Year Eve that day and nothing changes. There's no pork to eat. Nevertheless, there's wine, that's all that matters. I don't really feel lacking of anything as for so many years, I have not been really celebrating at all, so it's all cool. This is the only year I did not need to work.

Ahh~ Such beautiful weather
