So, it was a continuation. Right after the cruise, we were brought to this shop. Just 10 minutes walk and we arrived at this small town area there along the river.
What else? Hehe. It's the wine tasting time! And, the next question is, what wine is Germany known for? It's the Riesling of course. Though as a whole, that's what Germany is known for, but the Rhine Valley called Rheingau, is very distinctive for its quality and this is where the German fine reds are produced here.
The different types of wine available at the shelf. They actually ship wines worldwide. Maybe not worldwide as per se, but many countries. They ship to USA/Canada, Japan, Australia, South Africa, Norway, and Switzerland. Of course with a charge. Nothing comes free.
That's the town area. Many shops are available, at least enough to get the days by. If you turn right at the junction, it will lead you to something called Klettersteig. It is like some ropes and you climb through a fixed route. Just like mountain climbing, with a slightly different concept.
Visiting other countries which put dogs as their family members! How cool is that? The furry friends. Generally, dogs in Germany behave very very well. These can be shown by the owners bringing their pet dogs to almost everywhere like the bookstores, department stores, trains and etc. Ah, this dog's name is Gina. She's so so adorable and lovable!
Then, the group picture after dinner.
That night, we stayed at Rheinlust. It's a very nice place if you are in Rhein Valley. 10 minutes away from the shops and you can see the nice view, out from your hotel room. Sunset, sunrise. Incredible!
That's the end of our Germany trip! So we say, Auf wiedersehen Deutshland!

Europe: Rhein Valley Day 1 Part 2
We finally got up to the cruise. Feel the wind. Just feel it. You should feel the chill down your spine. You can't get it in a tropical country.
This is what tourists like doing, to go on a river cruise. You get to see many things along the river. You don't need to walk, just sit and see, and enjoy the breeze and of course, snap pictures.
On the cruise, beverages are sold there, both alcohol and non-alcohol. Announcements will be made when you are able to purchase it. They can't be selling it to you just 5 minutes before we stop, right?
I will believe that this cruise will be no different from other cruises. A standard cruise lasts about 45 minutes.
We departed from Burgenfahrt to Ruedesheim. Earliest leaves at 10:30 AM and the latest at 5:15 PM. Tickets priced at 18 EUR for adults and 8 EUR for children. Children's age differs from one place to another. So, please check.
That's the ladies haha
Well, the wind was blowing away and it got chilly, the sun was going down, and I was feeling cold. Yet, I didn't wanna go down. How often do I get this, right?
Many European countries' architectures are influenced by Romans, Gothics and many others. For all the different ages and eras, you can see how the buildings are designed. This I think it's Gothic? Usually, it isn't just one influence, but many had come and go and it shows in the buildings. Like footsteps.

Europe: Rhein Valley Day 1 Part 1
Next, to Rhein Valley in Germany. It's not a main stream place, but it's definitely a very interesting and beautiful place to visit.
This river flows from the Swiss Alps and ends in the Netherlands. This is the second longest river in Central and Western Europe.
While we were on the way, in the bus
Part of the valley. A sneak preview.
We have heard of the cuckoo clock, where it strikes the hours like a common cuckoo call and often, has a mechanical cuckoo that emerges with each note. There are various types and this is where you need to buy if you are here in Germany as that's where it was originated.
Catholic parish church. HL Goar. It had passed from A Catholic church to a Protestant.
A very small area
Dude! Took shots while waiting for the cruise to arrive.

Europe: Switzerland Day 2 Part 2
Since that I have reached up here, it needs no further introduction. Let the pictures speak by themselves.
Welcome to Jungfraujoch - top of Europe! Woot!
Though it may seem sunny out there, it was actually cold. I mean, snow? Of course. I miss this feeling so so much.
When you're too cold, just get your ass into the building. After warming up, then get out again, play with the snow, look at the clouds, whatever.
Ah took a picture with Großvater (grandfather) or informal, it's opa. Hehe.
This is where I have entered Eispalast. It means ice palace. All the sculptures include vaulted rooms, animals, penguins, birds, people, furniture and a bar. A place for tourists to look at in addition to the mountain.
Bear!
Yeah!! The Swiss flag! Weee! Before the introduction of the Swiss flag, the people were using cantons flag. General Guillaume Henri Dufour founded this flag. The old cross symbol and colors of the Swiss flag refers to the canton Schwyz in the heart of the conservative central Switzerland. That was when they finally have a national identity. In fact, this is quite a conservative country in comparison with many other developed countries.
That's the Luzern train! OMG I miss Luzern so much, like so so much!

Europe: Switzerland Day 2 Part 1
This is the day. We are all going to Jungfraujoch. If you have not been to this place, you should go. As what the name had suggested, it's the German part of the country. Jungfrau in German means young lady and joch means pass. It's like one is caught between 2 mountains, and you just pass through the valley there.
Good to go!
You have to go through many changes of trains, depending which way you wanna use. There are options available. So, we started off from our place, it's called Wilderswil. You will need to take the train to Lauterbrunnen or to Grindelwald (depending on one's choice). The station is called Zweilütschinen as you need to read the signs or listen to the instruction. Let's just say we use the Lauterbrunnen way, then followed by Wengen.
After Wengen, we need to change again to Kleine Sheidegg. I know kleine means small. Change again and that will lead up to Jungfraujoch. Please do not be mistaken, this is not the highest mountain in Europe. It's just the highest railway station in Europe elevating at 3,454 metres.
There are a few stops for Sphinx Observatories. If it gets too cold, then you can't see anything there as it's all foggy. Otherwise, there will be additional sights.
Woohoo~ In fact, with the amount you are paying, you can get better mountains in Switzerland. I am not sure if I am willing to pay that much to go up again. Probably not. It could be pretty amazing for first timers, especially for those who had not seen much mountains in their lives, like me. haha. It's already too commercialized. I rather use that to go elsewhere. Twice is enough. I must say though that the train experience is really indeed an experience.
This is the place, up up up finally. The entrance. Here I am. hehe. It's a long journey, 2.5 hours.

Europe: Switzerland Day 1 Part 1
We are now going to Switzerland! By far, it's still the most beautiful country I have ever seen and been in my life. Switzerland is divided into a few parts. Different countries call it different terms. Some call it districts, provinces, and here, you call it cantons. They speak different languages depending on where you are. Switzerland is surrounded by Germany, France and Italy as well as Romania. A big portion of it is at the German part. They understand and learn High German in school but in everyday conversation, they actually use slangs, which they call it as Swiss German. It's only the Swiss Germans understand it. Even the Germans have a hard time understanding it at times. Again, a Luzern and a Basel Swiss German may differ too. Therefore, the Swiss language does not really exist. E.g. Merci means thank you in standard french. But, they use it in the German parts too. Vielmal is standard German means a lot. So merci vielmal makes sense for them. Just maybe not for the French and Germans.
We did a pit stop for a toilet break. Yes, to use the toilet, it's 1 CHF. It's a machine whereby you need to put 1 CHF and you are given this ticket/voucher. With this voucher, it's like cash in a form of a voucher. Buy anything there and just give this voucher to them, and 1 CHF will be deducted from the amount. There's no maximum amount of vouchers.
This is a typical Swiss style, a market place. Look at the food, the pastries, everything looked so good! It tasted even better!
The country is very peaceful, very clean with fresh air, and also organized. You have to see the cleanliness there, it's insanely amazing. They have the autobahn there too. It means drive without limits. It runs from Basel, northwestern to Chiasso in the southern side.
It's dinner time, prepared by the owner of the hotel. It reminds me of the life in IMI. Haha.
They are still using the old school key. It's when you appreciate the manual key, not the high tech key card. How often can you find these kind of keys these days. I know Europe still have it. Just awesome. The bad part is that, if you lose it, goodbye.
Right in front of the hotel. It's Hotel Schoenbuhl. Shoen means beautiful in German :D

Goodbye London & Europe, Hi KL
It has been three weeks that I'm away and right now, I'm already at Heathrow airport leaving London back to KL.
I has been so hectic, everyone has been so kind towards us, and that includes the weather. Beautiful weather. I can't ask for more.
Whiskey and Bagi, ciao. In 15 hours' time I should be back to the humid hot weather. Though the weather here is gloomy, I will opt for this weather than the one we get it back home.
Goodbye London and Europe. Til then, see you again.

Coincidence
Being in the industry I am currently in, it allows you to meet loads of people, and I meant loads. It depends though, sometimes it can be really ironic. Yes, working means people and people means working. Sometimes you feel you don't wanna meet people but it's just your job, it's part of your job. True, you get to meet people and stuff, but if you are talking about hanging out with people, it's not "D" industry because working hours is just odd. Yeah yeah I know ... I meet people everyday, but you know, these people are not the people I wanna meet! Sometimes I really feel like I wanna go into office job but knowing me, myself, I will fall asleep within 2 minutes lolz.
The other day so ... I was checking out this lady and I heard a very strange accent. It was her husband. Okay, it's nothing wrong of having an angmo husband, absolutely nothing wrong. But, this is different, VERY indeed. WHY? Because it happens to be someone I knew back in college. Of course he wasn't my classmate d'uh, he's way too old to be one. He was actually my lecturer, many many years back, yes I entered college 6 years ago =/= eesh. My German lecturer to be precise. I never said anything haha, he never said anything lolz. But perhaps he knew it was me, or maybe not, coz this fella here, changed a lot over the years.
I didn't wanna say anything either because ... because .... because ... er ... I made him vomit blood before? It wasn't my intention but it's ... er ... natural? No matter what, I wasn't the worst so that matters okay haha.
Ich verstehe nicht auch, warum ich nicht sagen Hoi. Bin ich schlecht? Umm ... ich weiss nicht

Euro-Deli
In a dancer, there is a reverence for such forgotten things as the miracle of the small beautiful bones and their delicate strength. ~Martha Graham
Let's now go to Europe. A month or something ago, I went to his place called Euro-Deli.
Dies ist mein. Das ist poulet mit Pilz sosse und salat und auch mit Roesti. Das ist sehr gut, seht koestlich :D This is a Zuerich (the place in CH) style chicken with mushroom sauce, complemented with my fave roesti and salad. It was dang!
This is .... I forgot sort of jam mai dai already haha, Fish? I know it's wedges and salad lolz
Well this is the lovely mango pudding :D
Euro-Deli is an authentic Swiss German delicatessen :) Price is affordable, worth what you get, and definitely a return trip. This is what I have been looking for ... CH food :P

Die Prinzen - Alles nur geklaut
For my last German class, we learned this song. I mean, not that we learned how to sing la, but we just listened to the song and we were given the lyrics. Frau Schmidlin explained to us what was this song is all about. It was sung by Prince, and no, it's not a Swiss group but a group from Germany. So, they use German German and not Swiss German. It's saying about things that have been stolen from him, and later on it said about the girl that he likes were playing and yah, both were using each other and finally everything was stolen. Okie I kind of forgotten the whole song, but it's something like that. The paper is not here.
Enjoy~~
Enjoy~~
