The supernatural force
Has anyone encountered a supernatural existence? We have read and heard stories and tales from our family, friends, teachers and what not. But, have you?
I came from a non-believer family of this power and growing up, until today, I'm not exactly certain if the encounters I had were purely imagination, a dream, or something really happened. Nobody told me about ghosts, spirits etc and my late grandparents were still around at that time. I was afraid of many things, one included a burglar breaking into houses, and it left me terrified and ended up dreaming about it for nights. Okay this is not supernatural, but an example of how I get scared and I would hide under my comforter and stop breathing. Thinking about it makes me wonder what was I thinking at that age.
Fast forward, became an adult voila, I shouldn't be afraid of anything I cannot see with my naked eyes right? Wrong. I was even more afraid haha. I heard many stories happened in Genting Highland, abandoned places, hotels etc and guess what, I went into the hospitality industry. Well done to myself haha.
Working in a hotel means we gotta work on shift which includes a graveyard shift. When it's quiet and eerie, your imagination runs a million times worse than it already was. I was working at a Front Desk at that time, and it was 4am, I wanted to go to the toilet. What do I do? I can't wait until 7am. I had 2 options, to go through the quiet staff locker which is cold and quiet, OR, I go to the guest toilet 1 minute away. I opted for the guest toilet and I ran for my life.
Before I started working there, I was on the fence whether there is or not. After I joined the hotel, there was even a team of people with gifted abilities to see all these spirits. I heard so many stories, and them telling me what they could see at that point of time. It was haunted at that time. The hotel was the top hotel in KL that time, and our business was rather bad and many unfortunate events had happened, one after another including a not-so-young housekeeper was possessed and needed 5 big-sized security guards to hold on to her. There's no logic in all of these, yet it happens. Another was, my co-worker heard a boy crying in the locker, and when she went to check it out, there was nobody.
There was someone committed suicide in the hotel room just before I joined. Guess what? Each time for that 2.5 years I worked there after 9pm, the elevator was definitely gonna stop on a certain level, whether there are guests in front or not. This has been years ago, but it doesn't mean that it's not there. I'm sure it's there, somewhere around us. I was told that my body is very yin from a legit medium. Therefore, I need to be very careful as I am an easy catch.
Since I left the hotel industry, do I still believe in it? Even more than ever. Have you heard of anyone being followed around? Do you have any friends that can see these things? Or some, they can even communicate to ask what do they really want? I have and when I hear these things, I still get goosebumps each time.

Hiking @ Cheras
I haven't been an outdoorsy person my entire life. The only "workout" that I have done in the past in a regular basis was my dance class. Even that was just 1 hour a week, sometimes twice, or thrice depending on the events we had. Ever since Sensei left us, the classes were just kept at a bare minimum, one hour, once a week. Then, Covid happened. As we stayed longer at home, nobody wanted to go back to classes anymore. And that was how the class literally died.
Once in a blue moon, I would find other things to do, but it was really like once a year kinda thing. Last year, when things were briefly opened, we quickly went hiking to this place deep into Cheras. I have not been a fan of Cheras at all, but this was a place I just had to go to see for myself. Furthermore, we had lockdown for a long time. It's just about getting myself out there.
The typical hiking pose. LOL. The trail can be quite confusing at certain parts though, so we had to explore and some hikers led the way up. There were no obvious trail, no signs, we just followed. Some parts are knotted with ropes which can be helpful to some. Overall, a very easy hike that takes within 45 minutes. It rained the night before, that made some parts challenging for me due to my shoes. So, please get suitable shoes. haha.
With just 45 minutes hike to get this, why not right? I am a total beginner, an unfit one that is, and it is easy even for me. Struggle a little here and there due to the slippery surface, for, as always, I do not have proper shoes for hiking.
That was my only hike in 2021. Covid was not the reason, I just didn't have the hiking thing in me. But interestingly, I would go to FRIM almost every single week when I was in my primary years. I became more and more unfit and unhealthy.
I'll be back with more hiking. haha.

Goodbye -vid
It's such boring topic talking about Covid, with the variants until Omnicron now. But, it's necessary. We just need to be aware of what is happening in the world, if we should be worried sick or just accept it.
The other day, or some day, I got to know that I was a close contact just before the new update from the government. The answer to confirm all of this used to be a PCR test, not anymore as the time of this writing.
The next morning after I know I was a close contact, I did a self-test. I have been doing this on off when the price was still RM19.90. It's so cheap now, it's good to have a few kits kept at home though I know it's not mandatory anymore. Not mandatory doesn't mean that we can't do it. We just have to do what is right for the sake of ourselves, for the sake of the community.
Very simple instruction to follow by. Yes people, it looks just like a pregnancy test. So no, no Baby Rona for me this time as well. I am a free person. Am I? Not really.

Happy New Year 2022, goodbye 2021
It's a bit late here, but Goodbye 2021, and Hello 2022.
Every year, I have this ritual of summarizing the whole year in a few words, if the year was fulfilling, found a new hobby, a new purpose, a year I learned things etc. But, 2021 was the first I did not do that and going forward, I might stop it all together. 2021 was a very bad year for me personally and truth to be told, I hated 2021. Hence why I did not want to remember this at all. Due to that too, 2021 has changed my life forever. I guess, it's human nature to react the way I did when you lose something very precious to you.
I really hope 2022 can be better for all of us in the smallest way possible. Wishing that this is really the end of the whole chaos. We need to get back to our lives. We need to get out, we need to know new people. I gotta say that I have been out and about since August. I am boosted, so that gives me more security to be out there. I just do not want to be stuck and stranded anymore. I wanna see the world again.
I hope everyone is vaccinated though I know some who are not. I am not gonna judge but I hope you have a legit reason for not getting vaccinated. If you're not, and don't plan to, I deeply appreciate it if you can share it with me if we ever going to meet.
Let's all try to see things in a different light despite life's challenges. Having said that, the color for this year is purple! haha.
We have not seen each other, or the majority of our friends for at least 2 years. If you don't work together, or if you don't live nearby to each other, you just don't have the reason to meet up eh. Without realizing, we have all become virtual friends more than anything else.Tuesday, December 7, 2021
Staycation @ Kuala Kubu Bharu
We have been waiting for a staycation for the longest time. It has been a long wait. We planned all in April to go in May. But, that was the time our country hit rock bottom. The Covid situation was so bad that we had to cancel all plans to stay home. I mean, I know I am blessed to have a job and everything. But, that was also the very same time our family was hit with a tragedy.
Anyway, after a very long wait, no cancelation policy, and with us all started our jobs, we have to go somehow. Only the few of us made it in the end. But it was better than ever. It's a much needed getaway. It's a challenge to get everyone together. These guys I went with were people that I have worked with. How often can you say, hey I hang out with my colleagues. It happens more now because, how else do we meet people right. I don't believe in "I don't hang out with my colleagues because I need to separate colleagues and friends." I've heard that from someone. You do you.
Pondering Introvert's fresh start in the morning before departing KL. Yay, it's finally happening!
Imagine having champagne in this pool here, haha. It's not to swim of course haha. So the brick walls on the left and right, it's one room each on both sides.
The very next day, Hello, Good morning world! I've been in KL my whole life and no, we don't have fresh air. It was so nice to breathe some fresh air once in awhile. |
Laying on this hammock lookalike under the tree. How can it get better than this? It's been awhile I haven't been in tune with nature.
Stopped by at nearby town. People stopped here for this. It's really just this. haha.
Loved the vintage feel of this town. It isn't far from KL but this kind of primitive vibe cannot be found in KL anymore. I appreciate stuff like this. It's priceless. And, it's clean!

Yemeni-Arabic Food
Hello y'all. It has been a long long time. This time round, at least, we are almost there, back to normalcy. But, what exactly is normalcy in today's term? Wear your masks, sanitize, social distancing. That's the definition. You know that boring stuff? Yeah, but it is what it is. Glad that I was born in the 80s, I did not have to grow up with masks as my best friend. The worst isn't the masks (sometimes it can get hard too), but it's the check ins and outs (I forget all the time). Prior to the pandemic, I love wearing masks LOL.
Of course, like others, I have removed myself from being a hermit. I have started going out with real people, not just meeting random people on the street while walking my dog.
Moving on to the actual purpose of this post, on off throughout the years, I have gone for Arabic food. I'm not well-versed with the dishes, just that handful that I know. These days, it's so easy, go with a friend who used to be in Dubai. That's the solution haha. We went for Yemeni food, Yay!
Disclaimer, this is based on my personal taste and experience.

Check in
Hi yo, I'm back! How are y'all? I hope everyone is safe and well. Who would have thought that I'll be back in situation like this.
I know for a fact that Covid-19 started in December last year, escalated to around the world in March. I was about to visit China in March when the pandemic happened. I had my first ever trip to China in 1999. Let's just say that the entire experience wasn't very pleasant and I was still a teenager. Haha. 21 years later when I decided maybe, I should give China a chance, shit happened. So it got cancelled and they forfeited a few hundred. It's not fair, it's not our fault but...Yeah things happened. It is what it is. The virus was just hitting China back then, so I booked a hotel in Laos with the purpose of escaping a wedding. That didn't happen too. For obvious reason. I even had plans for Europe, everything is cancelled 🤭🤭🤭
We have to adapt to changes. Let us all do our part as part of our social responsibility. It's not about us, it's about our community, society and future. The situation is really meant for introverts. haha.
What have y'all been doing? I have been working, Netflix, coloring and working out. These are the main things that I have been doing for the past 3 months. Now that they have opened up almost everything, I think it's about time that we re-visit how we work. Working from home certain days should be considered. As long as results are delivered, why shouldn't we? I honestly enjoy working from home haha. Next question, is the gym really necessary? I'm really considering not renewing it once it ends. With 5 hours of being stationary, it's bad. Effort and time has to be put in.
Last but not least, stay safe y'all!

Part 5: Seattle, Washington
Back to Snoqualmie Waterfall. It isn't that far off from downtown Seattle. Approx. 35 mins drive away, roughly 29 miles. It's really scenic and I am amazed by the volume of water gushing down this waterfall. Needless to say, it's really cooling. I've never seen one like this before! This is absolutely gorgeous.
Apart from the humans in the family, the four legged family got to enjoy too. I would probably guess that he's the happiest among all. He can't talk, but if he can, I am sure he's gonna say just that. His expression may not seem like it, but that's just how he looks. Regardless, he's still the most adorable dog.
You get to do some hiking here. There are some parts which are a little steep at the top. Other than that, it's fine. We all need a little work out right?
Then, we got to the bottom. Tadaaa.... I love the sound of the water, kiss your stresses away.
C'mon Rocky hahaha .... please co-operate. Just once. Please. Okay, at least he looked.

Day 1 (Part2): Siem Reap July 4th, 2015
From our hotel, it was more than 2 KM to the place. 5 USD 2 ways we got. In fact, it's supposed to be 6 USD.
A typical circus, you will think of animals doing stunts and making the audience burst into laughter. This isn't like that. There's a add on value service in any trips. If you know a local friend, or a friend who's residing there, it's gonna help you experience your holiday even better.
This isn't that typical circus you know. It's a theater, music, dance, modern circus and acrobats where performers used this aspects to tell Cambodian stories. I can't exactly remember the price. Depending on what you take, it varies. I think, mine was $18 USD.
The show was perfect. I was glad I went for it. It's THAT amazing. They tell their story through their performances. Each day you go, they tell a different story. The highlight of my whole trip, has got to be this.
These performers come from struggling families, poverty, and some are orphanage. They attend the school to learn the art and later on, turn professional. This is a good cause. Show your support and watch their show. If you happen to be in Siem Reap, this is something you have to do. Do not miss this and have this Phare experience, you will not regret it. At the same time, give hope to our human counterpart in Siem Reap.

Amber Beila Review -100
I know, I have done this review in Instagram, in Facebook. But, that's not sufficient. So, my friend bought this Groupon voucher because it was cheap. Call us cheapskate, but, we wanted to try it since it's like hundreds usually and you get like 39 bucks. Who wouldn't want, right?
This is based on my personal experience, it wasn't told by someone else. I wouldn't label anything right now, let me review and we will come to a conclusion then.
We bought a 3.5 hour full body aromatherapy and lymphatic massage, together with facial. I didn't know what to expect from a lymphatic massage but I read on it after that that it is supposed to be gentle, not painful and does not have a stimulating effect.
We entered the center, expecting to see some pretty ladies. What I saw was some bare-faced "beauticians." Proper beauty centers like this, I really expect them to speak English but they came with Chinese. o.O So there were 2 sides to sit, one on the left and another on the right. So, she just said, have a seat. She didn't bother when I sat at the other side because there's a form I had to fill which I wasn't aware of. Another came out with a cup of tea asking me to sit at the other side. I was then asked to fill in the form. Honestly, in centers like this, this isn't my first time. There were no consultations. Instead, all they did was to ask you to fill in the form if you have any allergy and stuff like that on the form. Okay, in you go for a massage.
The moment I lied on the place they prepared for massage, the lady came in, asking if I wanted lavender or ginger oil. I said, I didn't want because from what I would have known, that is an additional charge. Then, she sounded like, I have to take. I told her politely I wanted lavender. The moment I said lavender, she said it's an additional charge. I am not commenting, yet.
Then, the masseur came in and she started doing it. She asked if the strength was okay, which it was. In the middle of it, I felt like she was marinating a cow. In particular, in the end of the massage whereby it was so painful, it was so poignant I hope that it ended at that very moment. I am someone who loves massage, by the way.
Then, I had to change room for the facial. She started to condemn my skin, saying that tsk tsk you have really dry skin here, and oily at your T-zone. Lady, I am fully aware of that, stop condemning. She said I need to do this and that treatment, which I refused of course. It's an additional of almost 200 bucks for that. I said no. She then offered a serum which was cheaper, but it's also almost 100 bucks. Again, I declined that upsell. She started doing all kinds of nonsense like she just puts stuff on my face without telling anything, left the room for a really long time until the room temperature became so uneasy and uncomfortable. There was no clock in the room and I wasn't supposed to wear a watch too. I don't live in stone age, aunties.
When I was finally done, that took about 3 hours instead of 3.5. Again, I didn't want 3.5 anymore. Oh! She brought me to the consultation room. I know, it's not something I can avoid because they will try to sell you their packages. For obvious reason, it has been declined again. We rejected them. Once we said no, she showed her black as a wok face, put down the brochure and walked out without a word. That's great customer service!
When we wanted to leave, Dwaeji's slipper was hidden God knows where. That lady, with all the rudeness in the world, said that it's in one of those cupboards, look for it. That's very polite, I think I like that a lot. She can be nominated as one of the best serving customer service in the whole universe, like really.
The next day, my back turned to be that way in the picture. I was in pain, nobody could touch my back at all. Someone actually slightly tapped my back, and I was screaming in excruciating pain. Mind you, that was just a tap.
For all the good stuff they have put on their website, even with all the purchasing power that I have, I wouldn't even go, ever. It's all untrue, it's all just at their surface. If, these people refuse to serve the Groupon customers, by all means, withdraw from Groupon. Nobody is forcing you to advertise there. If you cannot cope with the volume with such minimal payback and you can't even cover the cost of your products, please, I request you to withdraw. It is not your customers fault that they do not want to sign up packages with you. The reason people patronize is because there was a promotion, and it was cheap, and most of them, they just wanna experience it. If you manage to catch them to sign up with you and scam them all the way, good for you but how many would? In addition to that, if you showed your bloody annoying face, being outright rude to us, tell me, in which logical sense, would a sane person wanna sign up with you? No way in Hell.
Today, November 21st, it has been a month since I posted a complaint on Groupon's FB. I checked back to see. Not everyone will do that, but I apologize that I am from the service background, I do follow ups in whatever I do.
Groupon freaking removed my complaints from their FB page. If one wonders, there were no profanities or vulgarities, just facts. Being rude is something a lot of people cannot tolerate. It is simply unacceptable for someone to be rude, especially working in places like that.
Signing off, this is to declare, Amber Beila is to be prosecuted and blacklisted, for life. They are located in Taman Sea. If you want to be tortured, too loaded, like people being rude to you, wanna feel the marinated feeling, I wouldn't stop you, go ahead, and of course, enjoy~ This is, epic failure.
Score: -100

Truth to be told
Though it may seem like a social and cultural problem, it's still a mental disorder. Self-love is important, but having it til the extent of NPD is too extreme.
We need to face reality, but those with NPD overestimates their own capabilities and has excessive needs for affirmation as well as admiration. They are self-absorbed, self-centered, vain, selfish and everything is about them.
Probably, they are just an insecure bunch of people deep down. Look at the people around you, whether they are your friends or not. I am sure there are names that automatically pop into your head, or at least one. I know I have.
It's tiring and draining to have people like that. Like, why so self-absorbed? Even people are just being friendly on a surface level, they tend to think that everyone is in love with him/her. Really?! Honestly, there are many people out there who are better in every aspect, so why would people choose you, right? Think it logically. But again, they will think they are all that great, and on top of the world from physical attributes to their whatever it is.
Humans are generally nice and kind. Even though you are really ugly, you will be told you looked nice. When you look lame, people will say you look great. I'm not sure if they are just trying to be polite, or they are trying not to hurt you with the truth. Either one, I guess a person with NPD should be happy having people as such around them. Likewise, you think you looked really cool or good looking, which of course not, they wouldn't tell you. Or, you think that you are really good in whatever shit stuff when you're not, people don't really wanna break the honesty with you too. It's not a complaint, I am just impressed.
I pity them. At the same time, I cannot be the same as the others. I cannot lie to you, I cannot lie to myself as it's against my conscience. I need the truth to be out if I am being asked. When you're caught in that situation, all your human nature wears off. You will no longer pity them. You will feel really frustrated with them, their attitude, behavior and all that comes with them. Annoying, yes. Ignore? Please. Leave me alone, out of my sight if one is able. I beg you. Haha.
P/S: Do not try too hard to fit in, we are not in high school.

Do Not Wheedle
It's not to be mean, but this is just to avoid unnecessary dramas. I always believe that if you are sick, always go to the doctor, instead of going over to people wheedling for whatever reason. A grown up should act as a grown up. It's not like others are able to cure you. A doctor is there for a reason.
I am the worst person you should be going to if you're sick, because I am just going to ignore you.
If, you're always being sick, it means one - you're not taking care of yourself. If you know you fall sick easily, then you should be taking extra precautions and not things for granted. Our body is projected differently and some are stronger than the others, some are healthier than the others. If you're born weak, then you should be avoiding a lot of unhealthy stuff and take more nutrients. Avoid alcohol and nicotine and whatever that doesn't benefit your health.
Honestly, week in, week out, it's annoying to get a message / someone goes to you to say, headache today, sinus tomorrow, tonsils the next day, followed by migraine, back pain, leg pain, whatever pain and etc. If you're so sick, it means you're living the wrong way. Stop acting and exaggerating everything. I've been there, I know it. Either that, you are that sick, then do something and stop going to people that cannot cure you.
Maybe, I should be sending the same kind to these people. Then, they know how it feels like. But to me, I wouldn't bother even if you're sick, really. Stop the dramas and live the proper way. You're not a kid.

The Random Sunday
Yeah, I was doing my nails on Saturday, and Sunday was the time we went to Publika to do free show again. The main event was belly dance but we lost ourselves there and ended up doing a song each for 4 groups. haha.
This is the Japanese group. Yeah, Japanese. haha.
In between 2 sessions, we were stoning already. The worst part is not when you are performing. But, it's the waiting part that is very painful and taxing. You get so bored you just don't know what to do. Therefore, we ended up having coffee which was necessary, and the red velvet too. It was in Coffee Societe. The red velvet was nice. Otherwise, all of us would have fallen asleep while waiting for our turn.
After everything ended, we did a pit stop. A pit stop that ended us spending an hour there. How awesome I know that. Yeah, I got this ear ring there. It's still affordable though I am already broke. Since I am so broke, might as well, right.

Argentina vs Netherlands
I was hoping that they do not win. As in Brazil. Who would have thought, not 2, not 3 but SEVEN?! It's unbelievable.
Tonight, will be Argentina and Netherlands. Omg. This will be nerve-wrecking.
Haha and the Brazil was still there. Yes Netherlands, do it okay.

He left 5 years ago
When the name is mentioned, there are mixed reactions about him. It's such a pity that a man with such great talent had to leave us at an early age of 50. He's definitely not your next door guy. Don't expect him to lead a normal life as an average guy. He started his career when all the other children were having their childhood. He didn't have one. It's really very sad. Again, if he did, I guess you wouldn't see him with that success in his life. And, maybe, that was why he was extremely friendly with children. You can't blame him, can you?
They don't care about us
Heal the world. I love this song. Michael and his humanity. I can't see anyone else singing songs like that. How moving. It's reality, and that sucks. We need the world to be a better place to live in. The faith we have for human race is dying and fading away. Thank you, Michael :) Reality check.
Physically, he may not be here anymore with us, but he will always remain as a legend that made a difference to billions of people. This guy is definitely magnificent. It's an honor to live 25 years with him on the same planet. :D

Health Reason
I am cutting down on my coffee a lot. It has been 6 days I have stopped coffee. It's something rather shocking that I have decided to take a step as huge as that. I am someone who cannot live without coffee. The first day was really torturing. I failed miserably. I started the next day, until now.
I am also trying to cut down on my 100 plus which I take it almost every other day. It's not as difficult as coffee.
Apart from all these, I am trying to do more stretching. Not vigorous ones, but just normal stretching.
It has also been 3 days now that I did not take any solid food for lunch. The effect you ask? It's awesome because I don't feel sleepy after lunch anymore. It really works! But then, I feel this is going to be only temporary.
