Hiking @ Cheras

I haven't been an outdoorsy person my entire life. The only "workout" that I have done in the past in a regular basis was my dance class. Even that was just 1 hour a week, sometimes twice, or thrice depending on the events we had. Ever since Sensei left us, the classes were just kept at a bare minimum, one hour, once a week. Then, Covid happened. As we stayed longer at home, nobody wanted to go back to classes anymore. And that was how the class literally died.

Once in a blue moon, I would find other things to do, but it was really like once a year kinda thing. Last year, when things were briefly opened, we quickly went hiking to this place deep into Cheras. I have not been a fan of Cheras at all, but this was a place I just had to go to see for myself. Furthermore, we had lockdown for a long time. It's just about getting myself out there.

This is actually a private area but I see many people hiking up, just like I did as long as we start hiking before 7am on the weekends. Some people had advised not to go during the weekdays anyway as the owners are around and this is considered as trespassing? Don't blame me if this is a wrong info, as this was in April 2021, a year ago.

The typical hiking pose. LOL. The trail can be quite confusing at certain parts though, so we had to explore and some hikers led the way up. There were no obvious trail, no signs, we just followed. Some parts are knotted with ropes which can be helpful to some. Overall, a very easy hike that takes within 45 minutes. It rained the night before, that made some parts challenging for me due to my shoes. So, please get suitable shoes. haha.

With just 45 minutes hike to get this, why not right? I am a total beginner, an unfit one that is, and it is easy even for me. Struggle a little here and there due to the slippery surface, for, as always, I do not have proper shoes for hiking.

That was my only hike in 2021. Covid was not the reason, I just didn't have the hiking thing in me. But interestingly, I would go to FRIM almost every single week when I was in my primary years. I became more and more unfit and unhealthy.

I'll be back with more hiking. haha.

Drama Loves Me

I was out with the #kws last month during CNY. It was the first this year, and it has been quite awhile we haven't stayed out that late. It wasn't really late, just 2AM maybe?

By the time we finished both the movies, it was already 12 ish 1 and we haven't had our dinner.

What made me mad was the fact that when we were in the midst of wefie, one stupid damn idiot came from afar wanting to take our pictures. C'mon! What a disgrace and despicable thing to do. Taking people's picture without their consent? It's a crime if you think about it. Taking one's property is stealing which is a crime. ASK first before doing it. It's not like I'm gonna say yes to any of that. But, be a man, be a human to be upfront of whatever you wanna do.

Then, we headed to McD. This was interesting. We sat, we ate, we talked. Typical. This older looking woman, or in another term, we call her ahjumma (aunty), sat at the next table. As we were laughing and talking, I noticed like there was someone starring and glaring at us. You just can't explain but you know that feeling. When I looked at her, she started scolding us. For obvious reason, we were speaking in English. But, she said that in Chinese. "I know you are talking about me. Don't pretend. Even if you speak in English, don't think that I don't know. If you dare, speak in Chinese, why speak in English." And, she left. We were left blank. Since when we were talking about her, I just didn't know. Aunty, this person here doesn't speak Chinese. Enough said.

My life is dramatic, I know that.

The Atas 2

Ah~After our over loaded beef in Suki-ya, we walked and walked. We can't walk that much, can we? Then, we headed for tea time. I've not tried this place before. So, we stopped here :D

TWG 1837

The table setting, looks nice

The golden teapot. Guess what? They have such a long list of tea that I have no idea what are they. We usually see in normal restaurants the normal one, or in hotels, they have English Breakfast Tea, Eaqrl Grey, Jasmine Tea, and a few more. This place omg I need help! I ended up drinking the dancing tea, Dede drank the 5PM tea and Ah Boi got the pink flamingo tea. Hahaa ... I can say, it's just okay, I am not impressed. Maybe, I did not order the right tea?

That's our pictures with my Polaroid camera. Hehe. It seems I have the luck in me winning prizes, whether it's big or small. So far. Each of us took one home and display it hehe

The someone with the phone :P

The Atas 1

Last week, the Singaporean came back. What's the best that we can do? Revive our moments together.

We went to Pavillion and ate Suki-ya. Damn we talk like a cow and smell like a beef after that. haha. The pisa tower vs the big ass ice cream :P

The three of us, missing Jojo

Just don't ask me what is this, I have no idea

Ahhh~~ Brown!!!!!! I was so excited and words can't describe the level of my excitement when I saw Brown!!

Teehee. I just love Brown. That look is always priceless :P

Unconventional Halloween

This year's Halloween has got to be the most unconventional way of celebrating. Seeing these pictures don't mean really that I love kids. My preference of kids around me remains, that I don't. It's not something I must hide or I need to. It's a well known fact I don't get along with them and it's for certain, I don't try to either.

The red and the black shirt boy is the siblings. They are Malaysian Japanese mixed.

Yeah, one and only adult group :(

with Sinsei this time and turned out blur

That's with Tomoko. Damn, she's leaving soon :(

Hahaa .... fine~
My prop of the night haha.... this Jap kid. Still, doesn't mean we get along. haha.

That's all for Halloween's, it was a really really laidback mini gathering we had. Nothing extravaganza or different. Well, this is different, it was a very peaceful and quiet evening, except with the noisy kids.

The Libran's Birthday Part 4

This is the 4th part and also the last part in my birthday celebration. Beloved SP brought me to this place in Subang. You know how great my senses are especially in that area, I am completely clueless.

We had Spanish meal. You may not be very convinced that it tasted great. But, do not be sure that it's like what it seems like.

That's what SP had, and it was definitely great

Mine, and I know that the taste of it remains questionable by looking at this picture. But, I can assure that it was heavenly

Then, I had brownies, with the small birthday candle haha

That's the Libran

Of course, together with SP. Yeah just the two of us hehe.

That's enough for the birthday celebrations. I had a few more celebrations after that but, there are no pictures. So, the birthday celebration officially ends on this entry.

The Libran's Birthday Part 3

Then, there comes the next celebration.

It's a perfect Wednesday awaited me. First, was coffee in Starbucks. It was a very pleasant tea time before we head to our dance session. Wednesday is always a good day.

The bar~ Alcohol there was tempting.

That's us. We dined in Zander in Publika. It was a very relaxing night but if ask to review the restaurant, I am not impressed with it. It was average, nothing really stands out. The service maybe should train the staff on where professionalism lies and where the line is of being overly friendly? It will be a great idea.

2 days later, we headed over to Publika again. That was my third time there for that week.

Haha, he treated Korean dinner yay! And also the beer. Weeeee ^^

The Libran's Birthday Part 2

We continued our time talking, chilling out, relaxing for a beautiful evening like that. No pressure, not too chaos, and things were just great. It may not be a very eventful day, but it was very meaningful.

Ah~ We are wiser now haha

Tadaaa ... lol

Finally, the three of us together in one hehe

We hopped into Social after that for second round

Then, we called it a night.

The Libran's Birthday Part 1

I celebrated my birthday 2 months ago and this has got to be the quietest birthday celebration. No more partying like it used to be. It's not that I have aged, but I prefer a much calmer celebration. We have all done that many many years ago and those kind of celebration had become boring.

The office brought me this cake. So nice of them to be spelling my name correctly. I am very bothered by how people spell my name. The worst of all is when it is spelt wrongly by my own teachers for 13 long years, again and again.

Dede suggested that we celebrate it at Ante, a place famous for pork haha. I've never known this place. It was a very great ambiance to dine in.

Look at the food! Yums

Just when Kakak arrived. Surprisingly, he was on-time. Thought of asking him to settle the bill if he arrives late. The wine was very smooth.

Woolala~ all the porks in the world :D

September 25th

This may not be the most happening birthday celebration for me. But, I for sure had a great time with close friends.

I came into realization a lot of things this year as it had made me think and reflect into my own thoughts for the past week or so. This year, I prefer to put away the candles. I know for some, this may sound overly dramatic. But, I think that this is absolutely necessary for me to show respect to April as she had just left us.

Anyway, so far, I am having a great time. It's nothing too hectic or anything. Dinners with friends, drink a lil, have scrumptious meals.

For one, they bringing me out and all, is really a good way to make me forget about the sorrow that I was having for a little while.

Thank you everyone for bringing the smile and laughter back to me. I know you guys miss that for the past week. I finally am able to stand again. I appreciate every little thing that you do for me. This birthday had been exceptionally meaningful.

Satay Celup in Malacca

Those who have lived here in Malaysia would have known bout this dish before. It's not something you would have eaten any other day if you are not from Melaka or Malacca.

I know the existence of this food but not a common one. We don't have that in KL. Even if I can find it here, I don't think I wanna eat it. It's always better to go to the originals to eat it right? The entire feeling is different.

I am very sure us tourists only know bout Satay Celup in Capitol. It may be popular for us, so why not try a new spot since that we don't like waiting. Ahh from my observation in Ban Lee Xiang, apparently it's very localized there. Perhaps, this is catered for locals? One thing for sure, be prepared for the heat. I was sweating like a cow. I have just forgotten bout that part, this shows I've not eaten this in yearssssssss. The last time I had this was back in 2006. Damn! It's a freaking 7 years hiatus!

Maybe I should find out why it's called Satay Celup. It's not to be confused with the normal satay. It's more similar to steamboat with the satay stick and cannot be consumed by Muslims.

The missing ring

Few months back, I went up to Genting and I came home as a very sad person. Not because I didn't wanna go to work, or I didn't win any money, or I didn't get to play in the theme park. It's more like I dropped my ring. My precious ring of 2 years over.

And, it's back with me. I really did drop my ring in Genting but I managed to get it back on my finger. How? Simple. Because I dropped it in my back in Genting and that's considered dropping in Genting too, right? Haha ^^ ahhh my ring, how I miss you so much

Tom, Dick & Harry

Few weeks back, Dede brought me to a place called Tom, Dick & Harry. It isn't your typical club or bar in KL where it's filled with loud music and chaotic crowd. It isn't anything like that. So, if you are looking for those, this is not a place for you.

Anyways, it was my first time there after seeing so many check ins by my friends in FB. This is MY turn to check in. I went to the quietest outlet which is in Old Klang. There was just one table occupied before I walked in. This is in fact a really nice place to hang out, or just to chill out with friends.

You know those noisy places, you need to scream and shout on top of your lungs to talk to the person opposite you. Afraid not, this is cool. It's a very olden days style of bars back in the days in the western countries which I like it a lot. It reminds me in some ways about Pickwick in Luzern. Awesome. Pickwick is like one of the most happening place there few years back!! Well, not that I'm there now, so I'm not sure if that remains. The place will be full especially during a football match. Back then, being much younger I opted for a club. Now that I'm bored with clubs, I prefer a chill out place instead and this is a place I will definitely return.

Birthday Celebration Part 6

This is the last part whereby we met Fufu during breakfast and he asked us to stay right up til the evening cocktail. Despite being tired and sleepy, we did just that.

Ahh so we had wine haha

Accompanied with salmon, damn, it's soooo fresh ... and wine refill and refill haha

Ahhh .... the three of us, the good ol' times

We miss you so

Just before we headed back with all the alcohol inside our body haha

We had such a great time there, thank you everyone for welcoming us in open hands

Birthday Celebration Part 5

Good morning! After a night's sleep, it's time for breakfast. Almost, we did not manage to wake up for that. Nothing's new, right? haha.

Our morning breakfast with a great view of KLCC

Thank you to you too, it was an awesome stay. We loved it.

Then, it's us

Ahh so refreshing to be so high up

Our afternoon tea ^^
