Day 6: JBR Beach, Dubai

I had a great sleep on Day 5. Day 6, there was no plan in the morning and tadaaa.... it was an impromptu again.

SK picked me from Internet City. Then, went to JBR Beach. Ever wonder why there's a beach in a desert? Haha, of course it's man-made.

It's Jumeirah Beach Residence or commonly known as JBR. I love the sand.

This is a very nicely developed place. They have restaurants, hotels, shopping mall, residents, cinema and etc built here. This is a very popular area for Al Fresco dining. On the night of weekends, it's a place where locals flash their sports cars!

It's not a big beach or anything like that. Just 1.7 KM long.

Oh my sunnies. Some may have seen the video or read the article about Starbucks spelling your name incorrectly. It's a way of marketing. This, is the most unique way they have ever written. Ever.

Then, it's time to get back to SP's place. SK dropped me at Internet City then it's about time to prepare for the desert safari tour! Yay!

Lombok Day 4 Part 1

Yes, it's Day 4. We are already half way through. We have decided to sleep in that day, well not sleep in per se, it was just a little bit longer than the previous few days. It was a free and easy day, without any itinerary on it. It's all about walking, shopping, seeing, and eating.

The weather did not look too good that day. It was on and off shine and rain. When it rained, we needed to find a shed. So yes, we stopped by at the nearest restaurant when it rained. The Bayview Restaurant. For the first time, I look so short. Haha.

It was tea time, we had green curry and pizza. Just a pit stop, not too much.

We then bought post cards and sent it to each other back home. Hehe. It was quite fast, got it like 10 days after it was posted? Not too bad.

What do you call a meal after tea time and before dinner? Post tea time? Or pre-dinner?We had kebab just before dinner haha.

Sometimes, it's not that we wanted to eat so much. Rather, it kept raining. haha. Anyway, what's travelling without food? Pit stops for food are awesome.

FoodPanda Saved Me! Bonn Appetite!

Just the other day, I was supposed to have dinner with someone. The someone left me alone at home, and I was not able to wait til 11 PM. Therefore, it's best that I get my own dinner. It happens. It's Friday night and I am supposed to work the next day. So, no late nights. Sad.

Anyway, I have seen this delivery company countless times as suggested post in Facebook and I've no idea what that is until I clicked on the link. I thought it was like Berjaya group whereby they have Kenny Rogers, Starbucks and etc under them. I was wrong. So wrong. Pardon my ignorance.

I didn't know they have this here! So I love the name of it, FoodPanda, my god, awesome name. It's a delivery company whereby you place the order with them, and they will collect your food from the restaurant and send it over to you.

It's pretty straightforward. I like how the website works. You just register with them, like of course right, and you type in your area. Enter your location, and all the available restaurants will appear. Ensure you type in the correct area of course. Don't type TTDI when you are in Mont Kiara. If the food fails to be delivered, then it's your own mistake altogether.

Restaurants that appeared, they have what is the estimated delivery timeframe, how much is the minimum order, halal or non-halal and stuff like that. Place your order, follow the instructions, tadaaa you are almost done.

The coverage in Kepong isn't expanded yet. My place only has Papa John's. I actually asked the CS how does the voucher work. Okay, they may need to train their CS more as I was told they do not have any services in Kepong at all when I can find Papa John's. If you have vouchers, just enter the code provided and if you do not see the option there, it means the vouchers cannot be redeemed for those restaurants. Well, that's how most companies works, like eBay too.

After getting all those done, SMS will be sent to your mobile to confirm your order. Now, just wait for your food to arrive. PaPa John's was good, the guy actually called to ensure that I get my food. He even called to tell me to expect a little delay in the delivery, which is totally awesome. I love it when I am being informed, unlike many places whereby they don't even bother as long as they send it out from their restaurants.

As embarassing as it may sound, I have not eaten PaPa John's in my life, not even once though they have been around for so long now. I wanted once, but when I walked in, nobody served me when I sat there for 15 minutes. That was bad. This time I got to eat. I must say that the Hawaiian Chicken I ordered was really good! It's definitely better than the classical pizza I ate while I grew up. It has standard :D Oh I ordered some drinks too and it's still in my fridge now :P

Now that I just checked Foodpanda site, there are so many deals now, why!!! Courtesy of the World Cup we have. World Cup Deals only if I knew it earlier. It's okay, there's always the next order and I foresee, soon!

It's definitely a choice to look into when you are always stranded without food, like me. Mehh.

It was my day off yesterday, and it just gotta rain Supposingly I finish work at 6am and since that I want breakfast I waited for Moo to finish at 7am. Hence, overtime for one miserable hour. Haha anyways, I got home, I rested and eventually I slept for just a few hours before I left home again, with the agenda of shopping. Yes, a total different place this time, in Bangsar. The weather was really a killer, I melted and I almost died of dehydration and skin cancer. I am seriously not exaggerating whatsoever. It was so freaking burning striking hot that it came to a point of feeling like a boiling water and it was frigging unbearable. I really do miss autumn at that point. It was so dang hot, and just a blink, the cloud started to gather and in no time, it came pouring down. Oh btw, when I was about to cross the road, Dede was on my right, I saw this car that seem familiar to me, and I had that feeling, it was Dora's car and who the devil knows, it was really him and he .... so whateverrr =.=This was the 2nd ever time I stepped my foot here, as the first time was for Kim's birthday lunch. Anyways, walked from the new wing to the old, wandered around and not knowing what to eat, we ended up in this place, called Marco Pizza. So, we thought it will not be that bad, who knows that we overexpect them, it was that bad. Like ... sucky? tasteless? My spaghetti bolognaise was a total failure. Same goes to Dede's one, like ... indeed a sad place to dine in.

The whole point of all is not that it was a horrendous lunch. We asked for the bill, yeah l'addition hehe or kep tang whatsoever you wanna call that, something caught our eye. The total amount was RM43.01 and it was already 2nd of April. Don't they know about the Government's ruling on the roundup mechanism where 1 and 2 cents will be rounded down to 0, while 3,4 will be rounded up to 5 and so forth. Sigh, so shamefully behind time. If do not know, can ask Moo to give training, hor? HAHA We continued shopping outside again, as ... the rain had slowed down, and it was just some drizzle, until it came to a point that there is no way we could shop anymore, due to the fact that it was raining very heavily.

That's the restaurant in Bangsar Village and the one highlighted in read is 43.01 and it is against the roundup ruling, where it is supposed to be rounded down to 43.00!

We reached a place, half way through and there was no more boutiques nearby there anymore and coincidently, we were right in front of a spa and massage place. Guess what? We entered and had a massage for one hour, like so damn cool, okay. I know I'm quite jungle-fied to be feeling this way, as this is my first ever time having a full body massage and it is from a stranger not someone I know. I miss having my Thai massage in Swiss like crazy.

Right after that, yeah knowing the fact that my hair look so stupid, we went ahead to Shereton, yes yes it's Kim's place. SMS-ed her ... oh slotting bills, something that I hate the most in the end of the shift. I saw her, in uniform haha, she went to change and so we headed over to the coffee house and I don't even know the name. What can I do if I have a tour guide there >.< Oh mein gott, I saw retarded chef aka pakcik there! He was the one who asked us to go if we ever have the same day offs. He was working, just like a retarded chef haha. My gawd I felt so bad, he paid for us, the both of us, buffet dinner, not to mention, Kim stole some food too haha and her M&M's >.<

So anyways, a long day and I felt so dehydrated already on the first day of work after my day off =.=

I have day off on Thursday and today is my PH clearance for Hari Raya, yeah up til now =.= But, I feel so stone, after yesterday's nite ... I just felt stone, from the time I woke up til now, tell me about it how does it feel stone like. :S

The second Sunday when I was here, I went out with a friend, and a blogger. After a whole day out, we had our dinner in a place called Pizzeria. Sounds very familiar, hehe ... coz Swiss has it too and not to forget, the restaurant beside the restaurant I was working is also Pizzeria o.O That place that we went is new but I do not know how new as it was not there yet when I left more than a year ago.

Manor

Manor ... Manor ... after settling my air ticket, it was already 2pm and Yu Wen has finished work and thus ... met up in Bahnhof and from there, we went to Manor to get food ... cheap ones.

so here it goes, pizza from Manor. It's like some cheapskate food and place, but as long as it's edible, then it's cool

This is a jacket, of someone who had left it alone. It felt rejected, desolated, abandoned and neglected and eventually became depressed, as nobody bother to pick it up, nobody bother to look at it, see at it. It's left uncared for, untouched and unloved. It felt as if there is no more life, no purpose, no dreams because it felt unheard and unseen. Whatever happens do not matter anymore because it felt so transparent, so lonely and so empty at one corner though noise, laughter can be heard from the surrounding. Somehow, it felt really depleted.

Who knows that not long after we were in the airport, we got kicked out once again. Yeah, every single person were ordered to be out of the airport. We dont know what happened, but we just followed. Later only then we found out that there were bomb threats. Oh my god, what kind of departure is this :S very memorable one indeed.

It's time to say goodbye Italy. So, right after dinner, we headed to the small little airport that Goh told us. Yah he said dont expect any big airport as this is just a very small one. So, without expectation we went there and yeah, it was really .. umm. Anyway, since our flight is early in the morning, there is no point for us to book a nite in the hotel. If not, we have to leave the hotel very very early in the morning.

Who knows that at 12 or somewhere around there, we got kicked out from the airport because they are closing. I'm like what?!?! Since when airports close :S I mean this is unexpected. :S My gawd, seriously I didnt know an airport close until that day. So, it was only 12am then, they open at 4.30 if I am not mistaken, so it's a bloody 4 and a half hours, which was long.

Since we already got kicked out, we have to find a place to rest. My oh my .. it was cold.

He knows he is coming to Swiss that's why he stored extra fats -_- okie no comment while for us, we dont have any :S and we were the ones freezing away as we were at a place where the wind blows. Their place has a wall to block :S and I got up at 2 coz it was too freaking cold and went to find toilet. Umm .. surprisingly there is and we hid there for a little while as it was too cold okie. Then, I dunno what time Ah Boi, Jojo and me went to toilet ... again for me and we hid there until almost time's up.

A nice way to bid goodbye to remember, at least this will be remembered for life haha

That's it for the day ... so far, I think this is the best restaurant that I ate in Italy. The service is good, the waitress recommended us the food, very helpful and stuff. :) Food is fabulous.
