Hello December

Here we are, it's the end of the year. For some people, Christmas is just one day, for a song, it's 12 days, while for The Philippines, it starts in September. What does Christmas really mean? Historically, it is celebrated by Christians around the world celebrating the birth of Jesus. There are different renditions of Dec 25th. But in today's world, it's celebrated by a lot of people, Christians or not, as a year-end get-together. It's no longer a religious event only. I celebrate everything. Haha. I'm proudly Malaysian.

People enjoy being a Secret Santa to others, to put a smile on someone else's face. Admit it, it's a nice feeling. Of course, if you wanna get something, get something from your heart, not to get something just because you have to.

Thanksgiving and Black Friday are over. Next is Cyber Monday. It's the sales for Christmas. It means, there's going to be good sales around, online and offline. It's been awhile I have not done any shopping for the last one year to say the least. It has been a very challenging year for everyone, and I had my own share. I deserve some splurging. Haha.

Some random picture. First time in Malay traditional wear to attend a wedding recently. Don't worry, I wore mask and had social distancing. That's what we all do when we go out. Ah I have not worn this pair of ear rings for such a long time!

It's about time to top up my products, especially foundation, I need the BB CC Cream and not to forget my Innisfree too, are all finishing. I have not been to malls much since this year. I'll be honest, I am a bum. I don't like going to physical shops, one after another to go shopping and getting followed. Sure, it's nice to increase your step counts, to physically see it right before your eyes but I guess that's it. If you know the products well enough, then why not just get it online. For an introvert like me and especially during this difficult time, it's the best feeling ever that I need to thank the founder of food delivery apps (I don't need to call and talk to a human) as well as an e-retailer. It's the shopping season, yay! Just to clarify, I don't shop all year round. I ain't no shopaholic. I cannot afford to be that.

December, please treat me well.

Thank You!

I haven't visited the temple since the last I went when I was in school. Just because I did not put much effort in studying and being a student, procrastination is to the next level. We all know that, we have all gone through that. haha. Except, if you're studious, then it's a different story all together. It's best to pray if you fall into the former.

For the first time in SO many years, I stepped my foot into the temple. Since 2019 was the year of retrenchment, aside of whatever I have, I still need luck to be on my side.

I'm not sure if I haven't been here for a really long time, or any other reasons, I find this really pretty. haha. In the end, I got the job. Congratulations to myself haha. Of course, I went the second time to say thank you!

To be honest, I really like visiting temples. My current goal is Laos. haha. Hanging out with the monks sound cool. ✌

Venue: Thean Hou temple which became a tourist attraction now. 💗

Day 2 (Part1): Siem Reap July 5th, 2015

After such a long hiatus, it's about time the Siem Reap's photos should be up.

So, after yesterday's circus, which was still very fresh in my mind when I woke up, we had to go to the next itinerary. It's the sun rise in Angkor Wat. I mean, that's the whole purpose we were there right.

How can you not love this place? It's such a beauty.

So, everyone else did the same. Woke up at 4 ish to wait for the sun rise. Not cool. But anyways. haha. I don't even get up this early to work.

Tadaaa the egg yolk has finally showed itself. It is around mid March to end up March, the sun is aligned right above the Angkor Wat. But, that's also the reason why during that time, everyone would be there for the same reason. Siem Reap will be packed.
Finally, the sun is shining up above us. It's time to go home, not. It's time to get into Angkor Wat. The main temple. Get ready for lots and lots of walking to do under the hot sun.

Things are so much easier when you have a local friend to bring you around. Trust me, it's way easier. Just that, didn't think that we'll be meeting in Siem Reap. haha.

See, the Angkor Wat and the temples around there has been there for eons. There was no concrete evidence on the history. It's all based on beliefs. Probably, it's time to make a trip there before all their stones fall, like the picture above. One by one, it's falling.

That's actually a pool during the olden days. Before us, there was a photoshoot session. OMG seriously you people.

Drama Loves Me

I was out with the #kws last month during CNY. It was the first this year, and it has been quite awhile we haven't stayed out that late. It wasn't really late, just 2AM maybe?

By the time we finished both the movies, it was already 12 ish 1 and we haven't had our dinner.

What made me mad was the fact that when we were in the midst of wefie, one stupid damn idiot came from afar wanting to take our pictures. C'mon! What a disgrace and despicable thing to do. Taking people's picture without their consent? It's a crime if you think about it. Taking one's property is stealing which is a crime. ASK first before doing it. It's not like I'm gonna say yes to any of that. But, be a man, be a human to be upfront of whatever you wanna do.

Then, we headed to McD. This was interesting. We sat, we ate, we talked. Typical. This older looking woman, or in another term, we call her ahjumma (aunty), sat at the next table. As we were laughing and talking, I noticed like there was someone starring and glaring at us. You just can't explain but you know that feeling. When I looked at her, she started scolding us. For obvious reason, we were speaking in English. But, she said that in Chinese. "I know you are talking about me. Don't pretend. Even if you speak in English, don't think that I don't know. If you dare, speak in Chinese, why speak in English." And, she left. We were left blank. Since when we were talking about her, I just didn't know. Aunty, this person here doesn't speak Chinese. Enough said.

My life is dramatic, I know that.

Happy Chinese New Year 2015!

So, yesterday, Feb 18th, was the day all the family members gather together to have a reunion dinner before the day of Chinese New Year. It's at this time that you see many shops are closed during the operation hours. This is in fact more important or significant than the first day itself.

This is the time we say goodbye to all the horses and welcome the goats. Sometimes, I see goats, other times I see sheeps, and I am confused.

Wishing everyone with abundance of joy, happiness and prosperity.
This was the family dinner yesterday. It isn't eating out anymore. It's home steamboat this year. It was so good okay. Of course, again, just like any other years, it's the alcohol again. Cheers!

A typical Chinese New Year has to start with eating lobak gou. It doesn't feel CNY if you don't eat it.

Apparently, this is the family's secret recipe that I didn't know about.

Then, the family lunch. Amazing.

Of course, a typical family will have this question of "when, what, why?" Thank God, mine isn't that. Others, good luck to you.

The first prosperity toss I had just a day before the eve of CNY. Many more to come aye? The higher you toss, the better, the more prosperous, the more happiness, and everything will be better.

As what the culture believes, there are so many things that the old folks follow with the forbidden things e.g. not to wash hair, not to sweep floor, clean stuff, wipe, and I don't even know what else. At this time of age, I don't think all those are important anymore. If you believe, it will happen. Simple as that.

Happy Valentine's Day

February the 14th, Happy Valentine's Day to all. The origin comes from a man named Valentinus who was imprisoned for performing weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry.

This day is associated with couples showing love to each other, expressing their affections by giving flowers, chocolates and other gifts.

Only in Japan and Korea, it is practiced differently whereby the girls are the ones that give the guys chocolates on this day. The guys have a month to recuperate the love on March 14th.

Of course, as times pass, it isn't just about the boring couples. It's also meant for friends to celebrate with each other, or families. Love does not only define a couple relationship love, but also family love, friendship love and many others.

Even though you are not celebrating, that doesn't really mean that you have to go all against it. If you don't celebrate due to whatever reason, that's okay. Just forget it, stay home, and watch tv. Let the others celebrate. You're single? It's fine too, don't have to be too defensive. If that's to make yourself feel better, go ahead but nothing can change the fact that you're single. Remember that. Haha. Stop being so anti.

Dance Performance Halloween Party @ Hartamas Shopping Centre

This year, again,I celebrated Halloween in the studio. This year has been more happening. At least, it wasn't entirely in the studio. Last year, we had the walk around too but it's just walks and nothing else. Plus, there wasn't any Halloween song we practised to.

This year was amazing. We had a new group, and there's no emo emo stuff going on and best of all, we danced to Michael Jackson's thriller.

That guy looks scary and he sounded creepy too, all because he was drunk. Haha.

Our whole group is here. Well, some of the kids just dressed up that day and joined the photo session. We do not know who are they, just passer bys.

Of course, back at the studio. Yes, I love this picture a lot.

Here, is our studio. We had all together 5 performances. 2 of them were flash mobs, and 3 were actual performances. It was such a fun-filled event and I loved it so much.

Dance Performance Halloween Party @ Publika

It was last week, a week before the actual Halloween's Day. Publika was having this event and there were costume Halloween party there too. It's more of a contest.

Yeah, so that's why we have been busy for the past month practicing to Thriller. It's no other than Michael Jackson's famous Thriller dance.

That's the whole gang. All of us on stage. It was a small stage but yeah we all fit in.

Haha. We are the zombies.

It's just us. We did like 5 flash mobs after the actual performance.

Weeee~

Performance never felt so good before. This is something very new and exciting and I love it.

Managed to record the last flash mob. The person that supposed to record it arrived late. Therefore, no, I don't have the video for the actual performance, unfortunately. Look at the bright side, fortunately, there's a video for the last one. Haha.

2013 Seoul Day 7 Part 3

As this event was so huge, there were hardly anywhere to walk or stand. Everyone's there for the same reason, to watch the fireworks. Many of them are of course, couples. Those without a gf/bf will probably stay home, just like my dear monkey friend. haha.

They kept shooting it up, and they do announce the country of it. But, I didn't hear any of those. I was too busy.
There's Korea, Japan, France and etc involved, not exactly sure what are the countries that participated

Thank God the weather was good. Oh and they do have maybe 10-15 mins of break in betweens.

I like this

It starts mild, and ends with a bang each time. There are way too many pictures that I cannot put all of them here. So basically it concludes the whole night I was there. Another issue was when I wanted to get back to the hostel. It was overwhelmed with people all around. Another sandwich time. Oh god.

Happy Black Day

Today, April 14th, marks a day called a Black Day which symbolizes a day for singles. For obvious reason, I celebrate this every single year. Haha.

It is observed in South Korea. To those who did not have the chance to receive and give chocolates and gifts during Valentine's and White day, will gather with the other singles to celebrate this day day by eating Jajjangmyeon. It's not really sad, but the way they describe this day is really sad. Haha.

Happy Black Day people!

2013 Busan Day 2 Part 5

Finally, the night had arrived.

The sun was setting, the it's all grey now. It's time to have dinner maybe? Soju time~

After the sun is set, that's how it looks like. So pretty~

I like this a lot. It's very much of my color - blue.

They have this all over, the Angel Cafe. I've not tried any of them. The next trip then.

The Busan Rock Festival is held every year in August near a beach and admission is free. They have various genres such as rock, metal, and indie. How I wish I could have gone to it.

Sayonara 2013, Annyeong 2014

Each year, I usually do a summary of the highlights of things that happened in the year, and how it went. I believe, as I grow older, get wiser, things are not as dramatic as it used to be many years ago. Things had calmed down a lot, I start having a much more stable lifestyle. Speaking of age huh? No, not getting old still, but I appreciate sitting back to relax at times. Chaotic life is boring now.

January
It was when the year started. I had quite a lot of fun. Dwaeji came back for a short visit and we gathered as usual, the KWS hehe. Work had not been good.

February
It was Chinese New Year. Being Chinese, does not mean anything to me. It's about the holidays! It was a very memorable trip - to Japan. Never thought I'll be there.

March
We had our CNY Chap Goh Meh gathering there in Kyliie's place and knowing that the chef lives behind? Woah, indeed a small world huh

April
I felt the emotional strain the entire month that from emotional, it diverted into a physical pain. I fell sick the whole month, in and out of the clinic every single week. I fell from exhaustion, from fatigue. Things were looking so bad on my body and that's a sign telling me something. A change is just about to happen, and it depends on me really if to execute the change instantly. The moment I took that plunge, I recovered immediately. My first MC :(

May
It was our General Election and it was my first time witnessing, and participating in it. Also, to my horror so many things had happened during the whole process that I can't believe my ears and eyes. Well, welcome to Malaysia. Cut my hair short again as what I have always wanted. Nobody is going to say anything and it does not even bother if I am being labelled "ugly" haha. Also, the fact that I was bitter about someone taking advantage. It was frustrating but I began to accept it, re-live a moment, flashbacks and I had accepted with open hands.

June
Haze attacked us, polluted us nationwide. Health hazard. The first colleague left us :( Yay! I had monehhh!! That's work related.

July
It was the dance competition. After months of practice, finally, the day arrived. It was the trip of the year I guess - to Langkawi.

August
Oh god~ For the first time in years, I watched a horror movie. It's not something I can watch, horror. It freaks the hell outta me and I usually get really really stressed up. I was so right about myself. Oh~ and I met someone there through wechat. What a weird encounter.

September
It was my birthday, but before that I kinda fell into a little depression, the passing of my beloved furry sister. It was just that depressing to me.

October
Not sure if anything happened. Haha it was not documented. Oh ya I have almost forgotten, I went back to my home town. Oh, an increment was all I needed. Thank you hehe. This was also the month unexpected things happened.

November
It was Lober's full moon party for Hayley. Also, a very unconventional way to celebrate Halloween. It was our annual dinner and a prize is good enough.

December
Nothing much, a night over at Renaissance, enjoyed as much as I can. And now, it's 2 hours away from 2014.

Overall, it was a good year, with great things that happened here and there. Lessons learned along the way. We are always learning, whether it's knowledge based or it's a life's lesson. Regardless, it's beneficial.

Before the year officially come to an end, I would like to say, wherever you are, wherever you're gonna be, celebrate and be happy and let us all cruise through 2014 with positive mind, that greater things will take place. Whatever happened in 2013, had happened. Thank you 2013! Let's look forward to the year of greatness. May each and everyone of you be blessed with happiness, wealth and prosperity. Not doing anything this year, I need to have my beauty sleep in order to start my year with a bang! :D haha.

새해 복 많이 받으세요!
Happy New Year!!

Wham Last Christmas (Full Version)

Now, this song is stuck in my head. The very sad Christmas song yet so classic. Haha. Ah I miss white Christmas

This is the original one:

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day, you gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

And modified:

Last Christmas, you gave me your heart
But the very next day, I threw it away
This year, to save me from shame
I'll give it to the special me

Hahaha ... :P

Unconventional Halloween

This year's Halloween has got to be the most unconventional way of celebrating. Seeing these pictures don't mean really that I love kids. My preference of kids around me remains, that I don't. It's not something I must hide or I need to. It's a well known fact I don't get along with them and it's for certain, I don't try to either.

The red and the black shirt boy is the siblings. They are Malaysian Japanese mixed.

Yeah, one and only adult group :(

with Sinsei this time and turned out blur

That's with Tomoko. Damn, she's leaving soon :(

Hahaa .... fine~
My prop of the night haha.... this Jap kid. Still, doesn't mean we get along. haha.

That's all for Halloween's, it was a really really laidback mini gathering we had. Nothing extravaganza or different. Well, this is different, it was a very peaceful and quiet evening, except with the noisy kids.

Konichiwa Day 3 Part 1

2 night passed just like that. We left quite early in the morning. I mean, when you travel by tour, there's no way they are going to let you leave later. It's always hectic. But, thank God, they don't finish exactly that late. There's nothing to see or open when it's late anyway. Hehe.

This is the place I have been looking forward to, the Bear Museum! It's called the Noboribetsu Bear Park. I actually have SO SO SO SO many pictures. Unfortunately, due to some really unforeseen circumstances, it had all been sacrificed. It's casualties. I fell in love with the bears. There are apples sold and you can actually buy them to feed the adorable bears.

Oh of course, like anywhere else around the world, there's a souvenir shop. They were selling ice-cream so I grabbed it. The chill went down my spine. Woolala. Oh btw, horse cream is really popular there. I don't know how effective is that but it is said that it can be used for athlete's foot, as a moisturizer for your skin, sun block and so forth. Reviews are actually pretty good that I saw online. But, no I didn't get it.

Oh it was Chinese New Year. We had the normal "lou sang" there. In fact, I don't find this enjoyable. But, following the chinese tradition, this is something people do during the Lunar New Year. Wishing everyone with abundance of happiness. Unlike in Malaysia, HK, China & Singapore, Japan does not celebrate the Lunar New Year. However, Korea does though and it's known as Seollal New Year.

Oh the lunch. I have been eating and eating there. There are quite a lot to eat. It's great to eat stuff like that when it's so cold out there :D

OOh ... it was actually freezing but I thought I can survive with just the vest haha. It's not exactly bad, only when the wind attacks, it's when you will feel it. Otherwise, it's fine.

Cheng Beng

Pure Brightness Festival or Clear Bright Festival, Ancestors Day or Tomb Sweeping Day was on last Thursday. Chinese families gather together to visit the graveyard of the deceased for prayers with offerings.

When I was young, it has always been called as Cheng Beng. Only when I grew up, knew more Chinese, only I found out that it's actually called Cheng Ming or something like that. They didn't know what I was referring to in fact. Ahh I'm sad like that.

I guess, it's still one of the main festivals for Chinese families though in Singapore and Malaysia, a public holiday is not observed.

This is similar to Chuseok Day in South Korea which falls in Autumn instead. They are more diversified with the celebration. This has something to do with harvesting as well. They celebrate the good harvest and if there is no good harvest that year, they may not celebrate. They will also visit their ancestors at their hometown. They celebrate with big feast, like the traditional Korean food, rice wine, folk games and etc. Hence, the eldest daughter-in-law is the most unlucky one.

Happy Easter

It's Good Friday today. Wishing everyone a good Easter. ^^

Today is my first leave in 2013. Again, nothing's new. I've been waiting for my car to be serviced since 2.30 this afternoon and it's 5.30 now.

Anyways, as I was waiting the other day, I was so bored I went into the changing room and tadaa...
